SEO

June 25th, 2008 | No Comments | Posted in SEO

It is really controversial for SEO, quality of inbound links VS quantity. Many SEOs advice that you need to get your links from quality related websites, and they may go farther and say not to get links from directories or unrelated websites. But in SEO I believe that you shouldn’t believe anything you read, most of stuff that we read daily about SEO trend to tell all webmasters to stick with the best practice and stay away from gray hat or black hat stuff, but can anybody tell me why to stay away from something that really works ? Many webmasters get their websites on the top 10 spots using theses techniques

For Example, you will read every where that buying links is black hat practice and you may get penalized for it, but if you hide yourself you can go away with it and you may rank well, so what ? shall buy links or not. Another thing that I here it a lot “Don’t destroy your link profile by getting links from free directory”, what the heck are you talking about, I think who said that didn’t ever practice SEO, if getting links from free directories will destroy your link profile so that means your competitors may destroy your link profile for few bucks. Finally in my opinion, save no means to get inbound links for your website, just be careful when reciprocate.

While working on Joomla!, I faced a problem while installing a theme. Every time I installed it with the installer in the Admin Panel, got errors each time.  So, I found an alternative method of doing that.

Here is the method:

  • I directly uploaded all the files to http://example.com/Joomla/templates
  • After that when I checked the Template Manager in Admin Panel, it showed the new theme
  • And after applying the theme, it worked perfectly for me
